Likely causes

Very young plants, damp hiding places near crops, mild wet weather, too much exposed tender growth, and lack of resilient planting rhythm.

Fix pattern

Raise stronger transplants, protect the most vulnerable stages, reduce easy hiding places at bed edges, support predators, and sow more than the exact minimum.
