Our land is a real, evolving project — not a polished show garden. You will see work in progress, established systems, and honest examples of what permaculture looks like in a British climate over time.

A full day outdoors — practical, relaxed, and genuinely useful whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced grower.

Land Walk & Guided Tour

Walk the land with a member of the team. See swales, food forest, no-dig beds, water features, and wildlife habitats in context.

Introduction to Permaculture

A short, informal overview of what permaculture design is, how it works in practice, and how to apply the principles at any scale.

Food, Tasters & BBQ

Food and refreshments available on site throughout the day. Registration helps us plan numbers and dietary needs.

Ask Questions, Meet the Team

No lecture — bring your questions and have real conversations with the people who work and learn on the land every day.

Family-Friendly Outdoor Visit

Children welcome with a parent or guardian. Wear outdoor clothes and footwear — this is a working land-based project.

Future Learning Pathway

Find out about our apprenticeships, summer internships, and study days — the Open Day is the start of the journey, not the end.

This is for people who are curious — not just people who already know the subject. You are welcome whether you have a garden, a smallholding, a few pots, or simply an interest in nature, food, and more resilient ways of living.

Before You Come

Practical Information

Bank Holiday Weekend, 23–25 May 2026. Saturday 23 May, Sunday 24 May, and Monday 25 May (Bank Holiday Monday). Choose your preferred day when you register — or tell us you're flexible.

The Baba Jerk food stall will be open from 10am to 6pm each day. Guided land tours run throughout the day in slots — your confirmed slot time will be sent by email after registration alongside full directions. You're welcome to arrive and explore at any point during the day.

We'll confirm your guided tour slot by email after registration, so aim to arrive a few minutes before that. If you're coming just for the food and to explore at your own pace, you can arrive any time between 10am and 6pm.

Entry is free. Registration is required so we can plan numbers, parking, food, and accessibility. Food and refreshments are available to purchase on site.

Children are very welcome. This is an outdoor land visit — parents and guardians are responsible for their children at all times. Wear outdoor footwear.

Outdoor footwear and clothing suitable for a working land visit. The ground can be uneven and muddy. Wellies or sturdy boots and a waterproof layer are recommended.

The land is a working outdoor site with some uneven ground. Please tell us about any accessibility needs in the registration form — we want to make the day as accessible as possible.

We are exploring camping options. Please indicate your interest in the registration form — we'll be in touch with more details if camping is confirmed.

We'll confirm this closer to the event. Please note in the form if you're hoping to bring a dog. We have livestock on site so any dogs would need to be on a lead at all times.
